Team Canada World Trail Teams Announced for the Pyrenees 2025

ACU, in collaboration with Athletics Canada, has selected 6 men and 6 women to represent Canada in each of the two ultradistance events (45km and 82km). The World Mountain and Trail Running Championships will be held in Canfranc-Pirineos from 25-28 September. ACU president, Bernadette Benson, will attend the event as a Team Coach.

Beverley Anderson-Abbs Claims the W60 50k Record

Beverley Anderson-Abbs, an expat living in California, continues her stellar running career with her February 1st, 2025 performance at the Jed Smith Endurance Runs 50k in Sacramento. Beverley ran 4:04:32, which surpassed Christine Dirks' 2014 time of 4:30:14. Congratulations, Beverley!
Wayne Gaudet Breaks Five in One Go!

Congratulations to David (Wayne) Gaudet of Alberta on breaking five M65 records at Survivorfest 24 Hour on 8-9 June 2024.
Wayne reached 50 Miles in 8:28:23, surpassing Albert Miclette's 2005 performance of 8:35:59. He reached 100km at 10:35:57, bettering Miclette's 10:58:25 (2004). Wayne went on to pass the 12 Hour mark with 111.458km, bettering Miclette's 2005 mark of 104.800km. After passing 100 miles with 17:48:11 on the clock (surpassing Steve Tomajko's 2019 time of 22:23:42), Wayne finished 24 Hours with 202.892km (besting Rolly Portelance's 2008 mark of 168.941km).
Catrin Jones continues to break W45 records

Catrin Jones of BC continued her challenge of W45 records in 2024 with a performance at the Dream Nation Apparel 24 Hour on 21 September 2024.
Catrin achieved 76.000km in 6 Hours, surpassing Bernadette Benson's 72.329km from 2018. She went on to achieve 8:08:26 for 100km, surpassing Benson's 8:27:39 also from 2018. Congratulations, Catrin!
