ACU is the national governing body that supports, promotes and manages ultra running in Canada, including trail, track and road running. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organisation serving the Canadian ultra community. ACU is the national member federation of the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU).
The purpose of ACU is to promote, encourage, and develop increased awareness and participation in ultramarathons and to support the development of world-level performance at IAU World Championships.
Membership in the ACU is open to everyone. It is made up of individual members from all across Canada and expats around the world.
Memberships purposes and benefits include:
-discounts on events registration (ACU listed events)
-eligibility to participate in National Championships
-contributing to the delivery of the national team program
-helping to deliver National Championships
-discounts with retail partners
-organisational operations (e.g., website, annual corporation costs, IAU membership, accounting costs)
-awards production and shipping (Canadian national records, Athletes of the Year, National Champions)
-support for National Team athletes and officials at World Championships (e.g., uniforms)

A one year membership expires at the calendar year end and costs $48. New memberships are prorated for the amount of the year remaining.

PayPal is our payment processor. They charge a transaction processing fee. Their fees differ for Canadian or overseas credit or debit cards. All transaction fees can be found on the PayPal Canada website. After clicking "Sign up" below, you will see the processing fee applicable before you agree to pay.
Members have access to the ACU Members' Facebook group and receive discounts to ACU listed events as well as partners including Hammer Nutrition (20% off) and Kintec shoes and orthotics (15% off).
