Nadeem Khan Keynote Speaker at the 36th Cambridge Sport Awards Banquet
Nadeem Khan, Assistant Team Manager, will be the Keynote Speaker at the 36th Cambridge Sports Awards Banquet on November 5th 2009. The Awards Banquet will honour local athletes in both professional and amateur categories. Awards will also be handed out in the categories of Sports Contributor, Sports Team of the Year, High School team of the Year ad Sports Organization of the Year.
Nadeem ran the complete OUS series in 2004 and 2005 winning the under 40 category in 2005. He represented Canada at the 2006 and 2007 24 Hour World Challenges in Taipei, Taiwan and Drummondville, PQ respectively.
During his keynote speech, Nadeem will talk about his journey from a track runner in school to an ultrarunner through the trails of Ontario, his unforgettable fun times in the OUS, his introduction to the national team and his recent election to the International Association of Ultrarunners. It will be a motivational speech combined with his passion for the sport of ultrarunning.
Nadeem is currently practicing as a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist in Buffalo, NY. He also holds the position of the Director of Communications for the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU), Chair of the IAU Medical Committee and Assistant Manager of the Canadian National Ultramarathon team.
The event starts at 6 pm on November 5th 2009 and includes dinner. It is taking place at the Holiday Inn Cambridge, 200 Holiday Inn Drive, Cambridge ON N3C 1Z4
